Basketball, understood.

Your shot.
Decoded.

HoopArc is building a smarter way to understand every rep, tracking the ball, the rim and the movement behind your shot.

HoopArc is currently in development.

From camera to evidence

The camera sees a shot.
HoopArc sees the evidence.

  1. 01

    Ball detected

The camera sees the ball leave the hands. HoopArc marks it, not the whole scene.

  2. 02

    Track established

Frame after frame, the ball's path becomes a continuous track instead of a guess.

  3. 03

    Rim located

The basket is identified so the flight can be read against the target that matters.

  4. 04

    Shot evidence captured

The moments that explain the result are kept: track, rim, and the frames around the finish.

Technology

Four steps between a camera
and a better rep.

Every feature in HoopArc is downstream of the same pipeline. If the evidence isn't trustworthy, nothing built on it should be.

  1. 01See

    Ball. Rim. Player.

The camera is pointed at the court. HoopArc looks for the three things that define a shot and ignores the rest.

  2. 02Track

Follow the shot through the frame.

A ball is only useful when it becomes a path. Detections are linked across frames into one continuous track.

  3. 03Understand

    Turn movement into structured evidence.

Track, rim and the player's motion are combined into a record of what happened, not a highlight reel.

  4. 04Improve

Use that evidence to focus the next rep.

Being built so each session leaves you with something specific to work on, grounded in your own attempts.

Evidence

More than
makes and misses.

A make or a miss is the last thing that happens. HoopArc is being designed to understand the context around the shot, so the result comes with a reason.

  • Ball tracking

Follow the shot through the frame as one continuous path, from the hands to the rim.

  • Rim awareness

Understand where the basket is relative to the ball, so the flight is read against the target.

  • Player movement

Capture useful motion around the attempt, without pretending to measure what the camera can't see.

  • Evidence frames

Preserve the moments that matter: release, peak and finish, kept with the track that connects them.

Our position on intelligence

Evidence first.
Intelligence second.

Any intelligence in HoopArc should interpret trusted shot evidence, not guess from nothing. The record of the rep comes before the opinion about it.

Personal, not generic

Your game.
Not somebody else's.

The goal isn't to force every player into one "perfect" shot. HoopArc is being built around evidence from your own reps, so your makes become the reference.

  • Your rep

One attempt, recorded as a track, a rim and the frames around the finish.

  • Recent makes

Your successful shots become the reference, not a stranger's highlight.

  • Consistency

The question becomes simple: how far is this rep from the ones that went in?

Illustrative. Comparison against your own makes is a design goal of the current build, not a finished feature.

The app

Train. Review.
Understand.

Built for iPhone. Set the phone down facing the hoop, shoot, and come back to a record of the session instead of a scoreboard.

Train Camera, a minimal HUD, and the result as it resolves.

Activity Sessions, makes and attempts over time.

Shot detail The track, the rim and the frames behind one rep.

You Your profile, your sync choices, your account.

Stylised concept screens, not current shipping UI. Session values are demo data.

Privacy

Your workout
isn't content.

HoopArc is designed around local-first workouts, with cloud features added deliberately rather than assuming every frame belongs on a server.

Read the privacy policy
  • Local-first workouts

A session is saved on your iPhone first. Training, ending a session and reviewing history never wait on a server.

  • Cloud features, added deliberately

Signing in is optional. When you do, sync covers account details and session results, not your workout video.

  • Your account, your call

Account deletion is built into the product design, and your on-device history stays yours either way.
